The blog: Readers can expect to find content about topics related to philosophy and economics, and about anything that can be analyzed through economics and/or philosophical lens.

About the name of the blog: According to the Oxford Dictionary of Philosophy, “the Archimedean point “is a point ‘outside’ from which a different, perhaps objective or ‘true’ picture of something is obtainable.” It comes from a claim attributed to Archimedes, saying that he could lift the Earth with a long enough lever if he were given a firm and immovable point. Moral and political philosophers like John Rawls and David Gauthier used the term to characterize the standpoint from which moral choices should be made.
